So I'm trying to focus on what I did accomplish this week. First of all, I still got a good word count. Not as good as the week before, but that is understandable given that, for me, writing gets harder the further along I go. I always get an awesome word count in the beginning and end of every story, but the middle for me always sags.
Second, I got a lot more words then I would have gotten if it wasn't Nanowrimo. Several days, if it had not been for Nanowrimo I might have done nothing at all. Or I might have only gotten in a few hundred words and called it a day. But because of Nanowrimo I pushed myself to get over a thousand words every day, some over two thousand.
And third, I'm learning tons of great information about my characters. This week I started a short story that takes place in my Snowedin universe about ten years or so before the first book. I assume that I will eventually publish this short story as a free read, but the information I'm learning about the characters in my next Snowedin Fantasies series is invaluable. And really setting up these characters to have a very explosive connection.
We're getting close to the half way point and a little over a week away from my family arriving for the holiday. This is the crunch time and I'm planning on pushing through and getting as much done as I can, to set me up the best for December Close Out I can.
