Meet the Billionaires Blog Hop

To celebrate the release Total-E-Bound's Tied to the Billionaire anthology, we're hosting a blog hop, to introduce all our readers to the billionaire's we love.

Stop by the blogs of all the anthology authors over the next week, read the interviews of our billionaire doms, leave a comment and be entered to win either a $50 gift certificate or a six pack of backlist books, one from each author of the anthology. Its just that easy!

Start by reading my interview of Richard Barrett, the hero of Working For Him. This Dom knows just how to make all the ladies swoon, especially the ones he employees.

Meet Billionaire CEO, Richard Barrett

WE: Thank you so much for being here today Mr. Barrett. I know you’re a busy man and have a lot to do.

RB: I’m happy to be here.

WE: And Mrs. Barrett, I’m so glad you could make it as well.

SB: It’s Mrs. Carter-Barrett actually. I’m thrilled to be here too. Any press, is
good press for the company.

WE: Um, sure...Mr. Barrett, for all those at home, can you describe to how you became a billionaire?

RB:  I’ve always been fascinated by air travel, even from a young age. My parents had a private jet, and we would often take trips to see the world, but I was always more interested in the flight and the pilot than the locations we were going.

At sixteen I got my first pilot’s license. And I was hooked. After graduating from Wharton with my best friend Dante, we started our own airline,
Vertical Aeronautics. In the eighteen years since its creation, we’ve grown the business to the largest airline in North America.

WE: Wow, that’s very impressive. You seem to have a real passion for your
work.

RB: Thankfully, its one I share with my wife. He grabs his wife’s hand and looks lovingly into her eyes.

WE: That is fortunate, but I happen to know that’s not all you share a love of. When did you first explore the world of BDSM?

RB: He straightens his posture in the chair and looks forward. I believe in college sometime. Dante brought me to my first club. I just walked around and watched at first. It was all so overwhelming, people spanking, whipping, caning all over the place, in states of semi dress. I felt completely out of my element, until I watched a dominate in one corner blindfold and spank his submissive. I got so aroused by how she knelt before him, begging for each slap, I almost came on the spot.

I went up to the Dom after and asked how he could make a woman do that. He laughed, and asked me why I wanted to know. When I explained how it made me feel, he explained to me the basics of BDSM and told me to come back when I was sure what I wanted. I came back the next night.

He taught me everything I know. All the tricks I still use to this day. He
looks at his wife, curling his arm around her shoulders and tugging slightly on her hair. She blushes and looks down.

I make a point of teaching what I know. Other Dom’s need to know the best ways to keep their sub happy, while also keeping her safe and protected.

WE: I understand you wanting to protect other subs. But have you ever made a mistake in your BDSM?

RB: Physically no. But I definitely made a mistake by not letting Serena know how I felt about her earlier. I almost lost her because of it. Thankfully, she found a way to forgive me.

WE: You are one lucky man. Why do you think Serena is the one?

RB: Serena’s the only women I’ve ever been with that truly wanted me. Not my money, not my dominance, but me. She’s truly one of a kind. I was blessed to have found her.

WE: What’s your favorite part about Serena as a submissive?

RB: Her ability to give me everything in that moment. With Serena there’s no half way, when she submits she gives me everything. More than I deserve some times.

WE: What’s your favorite part about Serena as an employee?

RB: Her passion definitely. It’s what lead me to hire her. It’s what makes me
thankful every day that she works for me, and not the competition.

WE: What’s your favorite part about Serena as a wife?

RB: laughs. I think we should be married at least a month before I start picking favorite traits.

WE: Fair enough. So what plans do you both have for the future?

RB: Well, I’m definitely looking forward to some quiet. It’s been crazy with all the interviews and reporters interested in hearing about our story and our marriage.

WE: looks down sheepishly. Sorry about that.

RB: Shakes his head. We’re definitely looking forward to spending some time as a married couple and getting back to an equilibrium.

SB: And there’s a lot of integration work to be done with Argonaut Air.

RB: Very true pet. We just bought out another airline, Argonaut Air, and we’ll be spending quite a bit of the future merging the two companies. After that, who knows. The future’s ours. He brings his wife’s hand to his mouth and kisses her palm.

WE: I don’t want to keep you too any longer. Thank you so much for your time. I’m sure I’ll be seeing you again soon.

RB: Winks. You can bet on it.

The Romance Convention 2012

This past weekend I attended Siren’s first conference in Dallas, TX. As some of you may know I’ve been having some craziness in my working life, and debated for some time whether I should go to this event, if I could afford it, or if I should save the money for the future when I might be unemployed. After having attended, I am so grateful I choose to go.

Starting on Friday with an awesome writers event that could have continued for hours past closing time, we learned about what’s hot in the genre and what’s not, how to market and promote your writing, and we got to pick the
brains of the top bestselling authors with Siren for how they got where they
are. David and Diana, the publishers, discussed the future of Siren-Bookstrand, and I have to say, I’m thrilled to see the expansions they plan to make. Siren will most definitely be keeping up with the times, and quite possibly surpassing them.

But the most exciting part of the conference was getting to meet so many authors that I have conversed with online or emailed with, and to finally put faces to names. One of the most exciting for me was meeting Berengaria Brown, who was the author that encourage me to submit to Siren, which I couldn’t be happier about. I also met Tymber Dalton, Sophie Oaks, and Dixie Lynn Dwyer, who was my table mate at the book signing and just awesome to talk to about her experience.  The funniest part of all, turns out
Dixie and I live about an hour away from each other. Who knew I’d fly all the way to Dallas to find a neighbor. I also got to meet a ton of great readers, including attending a reader’s panel where they got to tell us why they wanted.

Over all it was an awesome event, and really revitalized my energy and passion for writing. Writing can be such a solitary activity, on the rare occasions when we actually get to meet and talk it’s truly a blessing. It was fantastic to be in a room filled with others that I could talk to about my craft and have understand me, not just understand the terminology (when we say mfmm we all know what we’re talking about, but I did wonder on a few occasions what the hotel staff thought of us) but also about the issues of trying to fit writing into life, or how to deal with characters that just won’t
talk.

All and all I came back from the weekend inspired to do more. During our author session, Diana asked all the authors who wrote full time to raise their hands, and I was in awe of how many hands went up. Many of my siren sisters are living their dreams, to write full time, and I’m newly inspired to think one day that could be me.  I came home, arms full of swag, determined to put their words and advice into action, and I’ve already started to. Maybe sometime in the next few years, I can be one of those with my hand in the air saying, yes I live my dream, every day.

I want to say a big thank you to Diana and David, and all their staff for their work on this event. It was truly amazing.  Siren really is one of the best publishers out there, and I am so thankful to be a part of their team.

Next year San Antonio! I can't wait!

If you get some time, head over to my friend Delaney Diamond's blog to read our responses to the statement "He owes me jewelry if..."

Be prepared to laugh, we all had such a great time completing that sentence. What we posted was only a tip of the iceburg. Leave us your own response to the statement. We'd love to hear it.
