http://www.allromanceebooks.com/storeSearch.html?searchBy=publisher&qString=Totally+Bound+Publishing Reviewers are loving Owned for Christmas, which as I'm revising the sequel, couldn't make me happier. Here's another great review for Owned for Christmas by Tash M with Confessions from Romaholics, giving it four couples.
http://www.confessionsfromromaholics.com/review-owned-christmas-willa-edwards/ Owned for Christmas is a fun Christmas ménage, that offers a fantasy turned into reality. What if you were to date a man, fallen in love and only for him to disappear from your life. Leaving you pick up the broken pieces. Pieces that were picked up by another man who healed your heart to a point but you still think about the first man. What if your boyfriend invited you to his home for Christmas and you discover that the man who broke your heart, is his brother and you had no clue…. The author explores this scenario with a sweet Christmas ménage about second chances and healing. Kate is a former sub who has pushed her needs aside to be dominated for love and acceptance with Daniel. Daniel values her as a person and treats her well and she loves him for it. However she miss Grant her former Dom who gave her what she craves, domination. So what if Santa Claus decides to give her a gift that she secretly craves. Grant but she isn’t sure if she wants him back. She might crave to submit to him but she an independent woman who knows what she wants and despite her connection with Daniel, she is missing something that only Grant can give. I loved the concept of this story and I loved how the brothers where night and day but both wanted the same thing. I love how Grant took charge and If I was going to chose a brother that I love more than in this story , it would have to be him. Daniel was surprising naive despite being the country boy turned city boy. He seemed shelter about certain things and it was interesting to see the dynamics between the brothers. I almost wanted to question his naiveté at some points as he was willing to be more accepting over certain things than others. But then he is straight laced compared to his brother. A perfect little Christmas story for those who are looking for something steamier to spicy up the their holidays. Two men , one woman, Grant the Dom who wants her back for forever, Daniel the clueless man who thinks that Kate is happy as they are and Kate torn between two men. I loved how Kate was thrown into the deep end and had to question what she wanted. Grant thought he had made things right when he left but didn’t know what do to fix things that he thought was perfect . I love a second chance romance and this book is perfectly time with Christmas only just around the corner I'm over at Sweet'N'Sexy Divas today talking about my resolutions for 2015, or at least one of them, to write and flesh out more series. And I'm highlighting the success I've already had with that goal this year, with my release Second Chance at a Cheerleader, available today. Yay!
http://sweetnsexydivas.blogspot.com/2015/01/serial-resolutions.html Second Chance at a Cheerleader is now available on Bookstrand.com. This book is one of my favorites, mostly because I love geek heroes and I can really relate to Lanie struggles to go after what she wants. These characters are sweet and loving (but don't worry there is still lots of heat) and I hope you fall as in love with them as I do. http://www.bookstrand.com/second-chance-at-a-cheerleader Dan Tyson and Matt Goodman are the ultimate nerds, not to mention millionaires, after their video game hit it big. They always dream of loving one woman, Lanie Brookes, queen of the school. But back in high school they couldn't interest any woman. Definitely not someone as amazing as Lanie. As their high school reunion approaches they decide to blow off some steam, by sharing a date from Fantasies Fulfilled. In high school, Lanie Brookes had the life everyone dreamed of. She was head cheerleader, dating the captain of the hockey team. But since staying in Snowedin to take care of her mother, her life has gone downhill. When she receives a mysterious subscription to Fantasies Fulfilled, she decides to make the most of it, picking two men for the price of one. But she never guessed she’d selected the two men she's dreamed of since graduation night, Matt and Dan. But will they still be interested in her now? Or will the fantasy go up in smoke when they realize who she's become? I'm blown away. I received another review of Owned for Christmas, this one from Crystal Blogs Books. I'm so touched by what she says about my characters. I'm so glad to see she liked Grant and Daniel and their connection.
Here's what Crystal Blogs Books had to say... Now this is how love triangles should end. Why does only one guy get the girl? Maybe the girl wants both... After all, it can be more fun that way... That's how I would describe Willa Edwards's Owned for Christmas. It was just plain fun to read. I liked the characters and how they balanced each other. Kate was a mix of sugar and spice. She truly loved the sweet natured Daniel, but also craved the spiciness that only Grant could provide. Daniel loved Kate enough to know that something was missing in their relationship. He knew that she was still recovering from a broken heart, but Daniel could never imagine that it was his own brother that broke it. As for Grant, he also loved Kate, but it took him letting her go to realize it. Now this is where things get really interesting... At first glance, Owned for Christmas sounded like the typical Christmas romance. Boy loves girl. Boy brings girl home to meet family. Girl finds out that the boy who stole her heart is her new guy's brother. Girl hates seeing brothers fight and decides that is is better for everyone if she left. That is whereOwned for Christmas moves into its own type of Christmas romance. I had so much fun reading this book. I know that Christmas is over, but if you are still in the holiday mood (or just want to read a ménage romance), give this one a shot. The best thing is... The guys get the girl and they still fight for her. Stop by the website to read the full review along with many others. http://crystalblogsbooks.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/review-of-owned-for-christmas-by-willa.html Well December has come and gone and with it the December Close Out plan has ended as well. Or you could say closed.
As anticipated once I left home for the holidays and started to spend time with my family I got very little work done. As I said in my blogs about Thanksgiving, now that I have to actually stay with my family the whole time we are together (appose to being able to drive back to my own home) it’s become increasingly harder to get work done during vacations. But I’m not going to let that be an excuse. I still wrote some and tried to focus on my goals when possible. I was able to finish the first draft of Owned Forever. It’s a little rough, like all first drafts, but it clocked in at just under 38,000 words. I’m hoping to flesh it out a bit more with edits, maybe add another scene but it definitely will give all those readers who loved Grant, Daniel and Kate a good meaty bite of what’s happened to them since Christmas. I had hoped to get done, or at least start, revisions on my upcoming free read, Hot-N-Ready, but that didn’t happen. It’s a short story, just 3,000 words so I plan to bang it out early this month and then turn back to Owned Forever revisions. I’m planning to get Owned Forever into my editor by the end of the month. It will be tight, but I think I can do it. Cross your fingers for me. As you all know, this December Close Out Plan being a great example of it. I like goals. So you can imagine I love New Year’s resolutions. But unlike most, I don’t take them lightly and I don’t rush into making them. I don’t give up my resolutions by January 5th like most, because I usually don’t make them until much later in the month and I take them very seriously. Though I haven’t completely decided on what my resolutions will be for this year I know a few things will be included, getting healthier and losing weight (like most of the world, or at least the US, I gained way to much over the holidays that I want to lose), writing more and publishing more. But I’ll write another blog once I have all the details worked out. Hope you all had a fantastic holiday and have a wonderful 2015! Today is the 4th and final day of my Owned for Christmas Blog tour. I'm over at literary nymphs Hot list talking about how I fight boredom with romance. Or more specifically why I love romance because of all the different stories, characters and worlds it opens up to me. I hope you'll stop by and let me know what kind of romances you like and take a look at my newest release Owned by Christmas. http://literarynymphshotlist.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/owned-for-christmas-by-willa-edwards.html?zx=e028658477df3cf2 |
